PFA sheet(Perfluoroalkoxy), is a melt-processable fluoropolymer that combines many of the best properties of PTFE and FEP. PFA is a chemically modified form of PTFE resin that combines many of the benefits of the PTFE. PFA plate offers both melt processing and the same upper continuous temperature as PTFE, i.e. 500°F (260°C).

Main properties of PFA sheet

• Higher thermal stability than FEP

• Working temperature of up to 500º F (260ºC)

• Lower permeability than FEP

• Combines attributes of PTFE and FEP

• Translucent

• Maintains mechanical strength at high temperatures

• Moisture absorption close to zero

PFA sheet is a fluoropolymer which offers similar properties to FEP. but is considered more of a premium resin. PFA is preferred when extended service is required in hostile environments involving chemical. thermal. and mechanical stress.
